A LUCKY school's September Sizzle took place in a blaze of sunshine.

Stroud Valley Primary's fund raiser on Saturday was lucky to enjoy fine weather since lots of stalls and sideshows were set out in the playground.

There were circus skills, and later Zumba dancing, for the children to join in, plus a new country fair indoors.

"It was the first time we'd had the fair with judging for the best cake, biscuits, cheese straws and for the children's garden on a plate and vegetable animals," mum Rachel Henderson, chairman of the Parents Teachers and Friends Association said.

The September Sizzle, originally named after its sausage barbecue, raised £1,550 for the school.
