Through the eras people have listed the wonders of their world, from the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, which include The Pyramids of Giza, Egypt; Hanging Gardens of Babylon, Iraq; and the Temple of Artemis at Ephesus, Turkey, to the New Seven Wonders of the World – the Great Wall of China; the ancient rock city of Petra, Jordan; Brazil's Statue of Christ the Redeemer; Machu Picchu, Peru; Mexico's Chichen Itza pyramid; the Colosseum, Rome and India's Taj Mahal.

You can take in three of these incredible sights on these great escorted tours – be inspired by the famous treasury, libraries, sumptuous houses, colonnaded streets and villas all staggeringly carved from solid rock in Petra, marvel at the sun rising over the Taj Mahal as the monument is bathed in pinkish light and reflected in the landscaped pools or walk along the Great Wall of China at Badaling, amid steep, forested hills. It's easy to appreciate the immensity of this marvellous feat of engineering.
