THERE will be a jumble sale on Saturday at Frocester Cricket Pavilion, from 10am. Entrance fee is 20p, in aid of St Andrew's Church Fund.

A charity dance will be held at King's Stanley Village Hall, in aid of prostate cancer and Help for Heroes, on Saturday from 7.30pm to 11.15pm. The Boogie Bop Boys will play 1950's rock and roll; come in 50's style dress if you wish. Tickets £7.50 from Tony Cooper on 07860 525214 or Marion Willey on 07747 017010.

There is a Musical Evening at St Swithun's Church on Saturday at 7.30pm, with Anomaly, a group which includes acoustic, rock and folk music in its repertoire. Admission is free, but donations for the Stonehouse and District Bible Society will be welcomed. For more information call Ann Vale on 01453 826765.

Remember, remember, the 5th of November – Leonard Stanley School's Firework night, gates open 6pm, fireworks from 6.30pm. Great food available: hot dogs, burgers, soup, chips, hot drinks and soft drinks. Glow items will be on sale. No sparklers please, no unattended children and no smoking on the school site. Entry £2 per person or a £7 family ticket for four. If it is called off due to bad weather, then remember, remember the 6th of November instead!

Have a cup of coffee and stock up with Christmas (and other) cards at 1 Gardeners Way, King's Stanley, on Friday, November 2 from 10am to noon. Proceeds will go to St George's Church, King's Stanley.

Leonard Stanley Twinning Association is holding a fun quiz night at Leonard Stanley Primary School on November 2 at 7.30pm. Tickets are £5 including supper. A bar will be available. Maximum number of people per team is six. Come for a fun evening with neighbours and friends.
