Cool sounds come to the atmospheric Goods Shed tomorrow with the return of the monthly Stroud Jazz Sessions.
This month the event welcomes saxophonist Jake McMurchie
Best known for his part in award-winning Bristol jazz-rockers Get The Blessing, McMurchie's sax playing is one of the finest things on the local scene.
He's played with Portishead, the National Youth Jazz Orchestra and the great Portugese singer Fernando Tordo at the National Theatre in Lisbon.
Whether funking along on a groove or wrenching heartstrings with a ballad, McMurchie has it all.
He will perform as special guest before the evening opens up for the session's regular jam.
Doors open at 8.15pm and all are welcome to perform or sing.
Stroud Jazz Sessions is a hub for all to listen or perform jazz and is held on the second Thursday of each month in the Goods Shed, off Station Road, in the summer months or Stroud Valleys Artspace in John Street winter. Tickets are £4 or £3 for performers.
